1. Sit in front of a piano keyboard. The low pitches are the “bass” keys toward the left, and the high pitches are the “treble” keys toward the right. 
  2. If you push the piano keys one by one going from left to right, you will hear the tones getting higher and higher in pitch. 
  3. Note that the average intensity level of a piano is 60-70dB, so you will probably hear all of the different notes as you push the keys.
  4. If the sound of the notes become softer or inaudible for you as you go higher in pitch, this indicates that your hearing loss is probably worse than 60-70dB at those pitches.
